Realbot (wip) unofficial install pack for linux. Must read: http://forums.bots-united.com/showthread.php?t=71 (progress thread, describing current features, bugs and commands) Info: The hlds_l folder in this tar is the base directory of the hl server (not the counterstrike cstrike folder, or the addons folder!). A metamod version (1.17+patches for steam) which is known to work with modern linux-bots, amx, adminmod amd cheating-death on CS 1.6-steam is included and will overwrite any existing version by default when you decompress/copy all files into your hlds_l folder. Install for "clean" servers: (no metamod, no special liblist.gam) Decompress the tar to a temp drectory and copy the files from that hlds_l folder into your hlds_l folder. (the folder hlds_run start script is in) To enable metamod overwrite or adopt your hlds_l/cstrike/liblist.gam with the file hlds_l/ctrike/liblist.gam-metamod. To check for running metamod plugins use "meta list" on the server console, "realbot help" should show the basic commands for adding and removing bots. Install for customised, metamod servers: (ppl.s knowing what a mod and a metamod are) To upgrade a running metamod installation, only decompress the realbot folder into your hlds_l server base directory and add this line to your metamod's plugin.ini: linux ../realbot/dll/realbot_mm_i386.so. For any problems you have come to the Bots United : www.bots-united.com Little FAQ for the usage: READ THE PROGRESS THREAD, IT EXPLAINS COMMON PITFALLS - there are no waypoints, you make them by running in the level - when bots don't move on new maps, start walking to the opposite team spawn, _don't_ use tricky way's in new levels, the bots will get stuck - don't kill/remove stuck bot's they _do_ learn not to use that path after _some_ failures - for now bot's cant hear or use/understand radio commands, but we know they should, and they will asap :) - don't get pissed when they HS too much, there are ini files to customize each bot (aiming, speed, weapons,..) - no i wont make a manual in this pack, who runs a linux server can get usage info, tips and customisation on his/her own by Onno Kreuzinger (http://kreuzinger.biz/private) for all Realbot linux users and Stefan Hendriks for making this bot. Oh and "Greg" for helping Stefan on the Linux stuff.
